Aconteceu na noite de quarta-feira o anúncio dos indicados ao 55º Grammy Music Awards. Transmitido ao vivo e apresentado por LL Cool J e Taylor Swift, o evento que contou com performances de Ne-Yo, Fun. com participação de Janelle Monáe, The Who , e Maroon 5, deixou muita gente sorrindo à toa!
E é assim que deve estar sendo o dia de Frank Ocean, após o anúncio dos indicados ao Grammy Awards 2013. O cantor de R&B cumpriu a profecia e foi indicado à 6 categorias da premiação, incluindo as categorias cobiçadíssimas de Gravação do Ano, Melhor Artista Novo e Álbum do Ano por seu aclamado álbum de estréia Channel Orange.

Ele reagiu a notícias , Twitando apenas, "uau", enquanto sua mãe acrescentou, "Seis indicações ao Grammy esta noite! Eu ainda estou tremendo. O que posso dizer a vocês? Estou tão orgulhosa do meu bebê! "
A indicação de Frank Ocean aos melhores prêmios do Grammy, traz um alívio para os fãs do R&B que há alguns anos tem visto essa vertente se perder pelo modismo. Felicidade é pouca, ao ver também, nomes como das veteranas Anita Baker e SWV concorrerem ao lado de Melanie Fiona e Beyoncé por Melhor Performance de R&B Tradicional, e Tamia disputar por melhor canção de R&B por "Beautiful Surprise" com "Adorn" de Miguel, “Heart Attack” de Trey Songz, “Pray For Me” de Anthony Hamilton e “Refill” da novata, Elle Varner.
Você pode estar estranhando por não ver nomes como Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Brandy e Rihanna concorrendo por seus novos álbuns, mas para ter participado do processo de nomeações ao 55 º Grammy Awards, os álbuns deveriam ser lançados entre 1 de outubro de 2011 e 30 de setembro de 2012.
